Open a new image 350X350 transparent.
Add a new layer, name it pumpkin
Flood fill with #F19621
Go to effects-texture effects-blinds and use these settings



Go to effects-geometric effects-Circle
Got to effects-Geometric effects-cylinder horizontal. Use an effect of 64%
Resize by 75%. Resize all layers should be unchecked
Selections-select all, selections-float, effects-3D effects-cutout
Use these settings
vertical 14 horizontal 0
Opacity 33 Blur 32.5
Shadow color black, fill interior unchecked
Do it again, changing the vertical offset to -14
Selections-modify-contract by 1, selections-invert. Hit your delete key
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it stem. With your selection tool, draw a small rectangle to make the stem. Doesn't matter where, we'll move it in a minute
Floodfill with #008000
Effects texture effects-blinds use the same as before except change the width to 5
Selections-float, effects-3D effects-cutout and use the same as last time.
Now effects-3d effects-inner bevel and use these settings


Click on your deformation tool. Hold down your ctrl key and pull the top corners out so the top of the stem is slightly wider than the bottom
Move your stem to the top of your pumpkin. Go to layers-arrange-move down. The stem should still be visible with only the bottom behind the pumpkin.
Go to layers-merge visible and you're done
