True Tarot Readers
This tutorial will show you how to make satin in Eye Candy 4000. You can use these for backgrounds, fill patterns, whatever.
While I haven't seen any
tutorials on this, I am sure I am not the first person to figure this out. Any similarity to other tutorials is entirely coincidental, I
came up with this effect by experimenting on my own :)

You will need Paint Shop Pro 7
Eye Candy 4000 I've never used any other version of Eye Candy, so I don't know if it will work in others.
Open a new image 500 X 500 transparent. There is a reason for the image being so large.
Floodfill with white.
Go to effects-Plugin Filters-Eye Candy 4000-Fire.
Choose Blue Flame from the preset menu
Use these settings
This will give you light blue satin. If this is what you want, you can skip the next step.
To change the colors, Click on the color tab
You will need to change the color in each box seperately. Do this by clicking on the smaller box and then changing the color in the larger box at the bottom. Use different shades of the same color.
for example, I made red satin:
1. #FB1D1D
2. #A90D0D
3. #FC7C7C
4. #960404
5. #FA5656
For Purple Satin, change the colors to:
1.#BA1DFB
2.#8A0DA9
3.#D67CFC
4.#720496
5.#C655FB
For Bright Blue-
1.#3245F8
2.#0B1785
3.#7C8BFC
4.#021480
5.#3245F8
Once you find colors you are happy with, click ok.
Since I chose red, this is what I have:
There will be some spaces in between the satin. Select a section of the satin that you like with your selection tool set on rectangle. Don't get too close to the edges of the image or it won't work.
Now go to selections-convert to seamless pattern
Save the new image for later use.
