I was looking through an online Kwanzaa catalog and I saw something called a step Kinara. I decided to try to make one in PSP
For this tutorial you will need
PSP 7
Eye Candy 4000
My Candle selection file Unzip to your selections folder. if you don't have one, make one
Or, you can make your own candles
Open a new image 400 X 400 Transparent
Add a new layer, name it step 1
Set your selection tool on rectangle, feather 0 Antialias UNchecked
Draw out a rectangle from 30, 322 to 354,380

Go to effects-Plugin Filters- Eye Candy 4000-Wood. Use these settings




Selections-Float, then Effects-3D effects- Cutout. Use these settings



Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new Layer name it step 2
With your selection tool, draw a rectangle from 64,278 to 319,323
Effects-Plugin Filters, Eye Candy 4000, use wood with the same settings as before
Selection- Float, then Effects- 3D effects-cutout and use the same settings you just used.
Ctrl+D to deselect

Add a new layer, name it step3.
Draw another rectangle from 94,240 to 290,278
Effects-Plugin Filters, Eye Candy- Wood and use the same settings as before
Selections- Float, 3D effects-cutout and use the same cutout.
Ctrl+D to deselect

Add a new layer, name it step4
Draw a rectangle with your selection tool from 128, 204 to 258,240
Effects-Plugin Filters, Eye Candy- Wood and use the same settings as before
Selections- Float, 3D effects-cutout and use the same cutout.
Ctrl+D to deselect

The Kinara itself is done. Hide the background layer and merge the other layers visible. Save your work and set it aside, we'll work on the candles now.
