For this you will need PSP7
My Selection files
Unzip the selection files to your selections folder.
Open a new image 500X500 transparent.
Set your foreground color to #40FF40, Set your background color to #80FF80
Set your foreground style to linear gradient, #2 Fading Foreground, invert gradient checked, angle 0, repeats 0

Add a new layer, name it legs. Selections-Load from disk-load 1ealienlegs.sel from the folder you unzipped the selections to

Floodfill with the gradient, do not deselect
Go to Effects-3D effects-Inner Bevel and use the following Settings:


Now selections-invert, Effects-3D effects-drop shadow and use these settings
Vertical and Horizontal-0
Opacity-56 and Blur- 10.6
Shadow color-black
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it arms. Selections-load from disk, load 2ealienarms.sel
Floodfill with the gradient and use the same Inner Bevel as before.
Selections-Invert, 3D effects-Drop shadow and use the same settings as before
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it belly. Selections-load from disk and load 3ealientummy.sel
Floodfill with the gradient.. Now Selections-Float, then Effects-3D effects-cutout using these settings
Vertical and Horizontal-0
Opacity-69
Blur-50
Shadow color-black, fill interior unchecked
Selections-defloat, Selections-modify-contract by 1, Selections-invert, hit your delete key
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it belly button
Selections-load from disk, load 4ealienbellybutton.sel
Effects-3d effects, cutout
Use these settings
Vertical and Horizontal-0
Opacity 47, Blur 9.5
Shadow color-black, fill interior unchecked
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it head. Selections-load from disk and load 5ealienhead.sel
Floodfill with the gradient
Selections-invert, Effects-3D effects-drop shadow and use these settings
Horizontal and Vertical-0
Opacity-80, Blur 52.9, Shadow color-Black
Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it eyes
Load 6ealieneyes.sel. Floodfill with black
Effects-3D effects-Inner Bevel and use these settings


Ctrl+D to deselect
Add a new layer, name it nostrils
Load 7ealiennostrils.sel
Floodfill with black
Ctrl+D to deselect
Set your foreground to black. Set your foreground style to solid fill, background to null
Click on your draw tool and use these settings


Draw a straight line under the nostrils for the mouth


If you are happy with it, go to layers-convert to raster.
go to layers-merge visible and you’re done.
