Sorry, no selections this time, you'll be making it from scratch :) Don't let this put you off, it's not difficult and the finished product will be all yours
The screen shots are resized and compressed to save on download times. Some of them look yucky, don't worry, yours will look better
Here are the colors I used. You can save this and open it in PSP or just right click, and choose copy and then go to edit-paste-as new image in PSP to get it on your workspace.

One more thing. I'm not using exact sizes for this tut, so you may need to change the opacity and blur on the cutouts. If they look too light when you apply them, move the sliders under opacity and blur higher. If they look too dark, move them to a lower number
Open a new image 450 X 450 pixels, transparent.
Set your foreground style to null, background to the petal color. Do this by choosing your dropper and right clicking on the color
Choose your preset shapes tool with these settings

Draw a circle, like this

Hold down your shift key and grab one of the boxes at the top corner. Pull it out a little. Now do the same on the other side. If you think it needs to skinnier, grab the center box on one side and push in a little. If you think it needs to be longer, pull down on the bottom center box
This the shape you are going for

Now grab one of the little boxes in the middle and use it to turn the petal to the right. Now move it to the upper left side of your canvas

Layers-Duplicate, then Image-mirror and use your mover tool to position the second petal as below

Using your preset shapes tool with the same settings as before, draw another circle, this one slightly smaller than the first
As before, hold down your shift key and pull the top two side boxes out. Again, if you think it needs to be skinnier, push in on the center box on one of the sides. If you think it needs to be longer, pull down on the bottom center box

Now grab the handle in the center and turn your petal like this

Layers-convert to raster
Selections-Select all, Selections float. I did the next step on the same layer without a problem.
Set your foreground to the dark inside color by left clicking on the color with your dropper
Use your airbrush tool with these settings

Now set your foreground back to null and make sure your background is still the purple petal color.
Activate your top layer and draw another circle with your preset shapes tool using the same settings as
