It is midnight! Not just any midnight but Halloween and three cats, Mr. and Mrs. Al & Troubie Alleycat, dressed as Vampires.together with their Bird Mr. Birdie and a friend Firefly, who are both dressed as bats, are all out trick or treating. Just as the clock strikes twelve a ghostly white house suddenly arises before their eyes!
Troubie, rubbing her eyes: Al, Al did mew see that? A house just appeared on the vacant block!
Al: House, where???? Troubie are you sure you haven't been looking into your Crystal Ball again! (thinks to himself - I must be more nipzed than I thought but then she is always seeing things)
Troubie, shaking very hard: NO! Al LOOK a house! I am not imagining it! There is a house, a white house! Mr. Birdie, Firefly you can both see it can't you?
Al: Ummmm! Where??? (starts with fright) Oh Troubie you are NOT imagining anything, hold on tight to me and we will investigate this further!
While Al is trying to persuade Troubie and Firely to investigate the mysterious house, Mr. Birdie has flown up to the top and calls down to them!
Mr. Birdie: I can see a white kitty inside the window!
Al: A white cat!!!! In a house which wasn't there before, humm I think Mr. Birdie that costume has got to you, hee hee!
Mr. Birdie: I maybe dressed as a bat but I am certainly not batty! There is definitely something inside and it sure looks like a cat to me!
Firefly: (who is shaking with fright) Oooooooh, is it a gggggghost kitty? After all the house is a ghost house, so no REAL kitties would live there, would they?
Al: (pretending to be braver than he is) Now don't panic, I am sure there is some perfectly logical explanation!
Firefly and Troubie together: If there is then please tell us, otherwise we are heading home!
Troubie: I don't feel too brave at all, even in this Vampire costume, oh if only the teeth were real!
Firefly: Neither do I Troubie! Dressed as a Bat, well I guess I could try getting in the kitties fur, or something! That is of course, if mew can get into ghost kitties fur.
Troubie: I am not sure about that and to be perfectly frank, I don't wont to find out!
Mr. Birdie: Do I have to 'hang" around here much longer? I would rather be home in my own little cage!
Al takes a good look around the house, he is shaking madly but puts on a brave front, after all he has his precious Troubie and their friends to protect.
Al:(much relieved) Honestly!! There really isn't anything to be scared about! It is the Fat is Fun Haunted Village we have wandered into and this house is just one of many scary things here! Come on, lets go and explore the rest of the Haunted Village! Unless of course you are a bunch of real scaredy cats hee hee!
All the cats, though still shaken, carry on through the village, there are so many strange, eerie and exciting places to see.
